Microblading

Microblading is a technique where pigment is manually drawn by a thin blade onto areas of the brow. Microblading is a form of a semi-permanent tattoo where results typically last around 18-36 months depending on your skin type and regular touch up maintenance. The procedure can take up to 2 hours as we carefully prep your brows and delicately add fine natural looking hair to your brows.

If you have any of the following conditions, please call for a consultation to see whether or not microblading is right for you:

  • Skin complications - eczema, psoriasis, keratosis pilaris and dermatitis

  • Chronic conditions - acne, rasacea, oily skin

  • Medical conditions -hemophilia, pregnancy, heart condition, diabetic

  • Other considerations - vacationing, botox, blood thinner medication

A patch test is available and can be performed days prior to the procedure for an additional fee if you have any allergies or sensitive skin that may cause your skin to react negatively to our pigment.

Before your appointment:

  • Do not drink alcohol 48 hours prior to your appointment

  • Do not take blood thinning medication

  • Do not get Botox 3 weeks prior to your appointment

  • Do not apply vitamin A around your brows 3 weeks prior to your appointment

  • Do not take ibuprofen 48 hours prior to your appointment

  • Do not pluck or get your brows waxed 48 hours prior to your appointment

  • Do not work out the day of the procedure

  • Do not tan or have sunburned face

  • No waxing or tinting 3 days before

What to expect on the day of your appointment:

  • A quick consultation to review preexisting conditions that may impact your procedure and discuss expectations and results.

  • We'll shape your eyebrows to complement your unique face shape and size

  • Next, we'll choose the pigment color to be applied

  • Initial strokes are drawn and anesthetic can be applied to reduce any discomfort

  • Pigment is applied with each stroke to define the brow

  • A pigment mask is left to absorb into the skin

  • Once applied, we'll clean the area thoroughly

  • We'll apply medical silicone that will remain on the skin for 12-24 hours

  • Lastly, we'll discuss aftercare and what to expect in the next two weeks

After treatment care within 7 days or until scabs are completely gone:

  • After 4-5 hours, very quick shower/washing face is fine

  • Keep eyebrows dry (avoid soaking in water for too long; ex. Swimming or Sauna)

  • No tanning, waxing or threading (until fully healed)

  • Apply A&D ointment 1-2 times a day after the first 48 hours

  • Dry heal for oily skin (NO ointment or anything on the brows)

  • Clean eyebrows everyday with damp cotton pad until fully healed

  • No makeup, eyebrow pencil, lotion or other facial product on the brows

  • If necessary, use an eyebrow pencil to touch up after eyebrows heal completely

Ombré

Ombré is a form of semi-permanent makeup applied by a small digital tattoo machine to achieve the appearance of powdery, misty filled brows. Ombré brows can last up to 2-4 years depending on your skin type, after care and periodic touch ups. Like microblading, the procedure can take up to 2 hours as we define the shape of your brows, apply topical anesthetic if necessary and powder fill your brows.

Since Ombré is a semi-permanent tattoo, we recommend you call for a consultation before booking an appointment if you have any of the following conditions:

  • Medical conditions - hemophilia, allergies, diabetic, pregnancy

  • Other considerations - blood thinner medication

Preparation, what to expect on the day of your appointment and aftercare for Ombré is similar to Microblading, the only difference are the results.
